Whipped Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. Add in heavy cream and mix until light and fluffy. Mix on medium until creamy and scrape down the sides and the bottom of the bowl.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat butter on medium speed for a minute or so until light and fluffy. Ensure that the butter is room temperature before starting. Add the powdered sugar and mix at high speed.
Add the completely cooled milk mixture.
Add the second half of the heavy cream and mix again, then scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Be sure to stop at least once and scrape the bowl. If you need a whipped buttercream, use the frosting found with this vanilla sheet cake.
